Field trips with the WIMEX-apprentices
During their formation, the WIMEX-apprentices go on interesting field trips so they can get to know the different job-fields. On their visit to the meat-processing sector, the apprentices in the field of animal farming with the specialization poultry, get an in-depth insight as to how food production works. Visiting the agritechnica in the city of Hanover is always a highlight for the apprentices in the agricultural field with the specialization agricultural services and technology of agricultural machines. At the agritechnica they can gather information on the current technological developments.
There is the year-round possibility of an internship at WIMEX – regardless of whether you are in school or currently studying at a university. We look forward to receiving your application!
Strong support for newcomers in management
In cooperation with the German Agricultural Society (Deutsche Landwirtschaftsgesellschaft – DLG), the Central Committee of the German Poultry Industry (Zentralverband der Deutschen Geflügelwirtschaft – ZDG) and our partnering companies, we offer a trainee-program here at WIMEX. This program is for the newcomers in the management levels in the division of poultry farming. It is designed especially to provide them with a profound theoretical and practical training: In the DLG-Academy and also in the Institute for agricultural business in Gießen the trainees learn hard skills such as supply-chain management, quality management and business management. In the companies and alongside the entire supply chain, they gather the necessary practical know-how for being a manager.
Supporting new talent at WIMEX!
In 2011 the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences started the project “Deutschlandstipendium” (fellowship for Germany), in order to support students of the agricultural fields financially. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research offers this fellowship and gives a sponsorship of 300 Euros per month to students with exceptionally good grades. The WIMEX Company contributed 1800 Euros to the project, which is the equivalent of a year-long fellowship. Being eligible for the fellowship requires versatility: good grades are just as important as a good sense of responsibility and a clear focus when it comes to choices about the professional career and life in general.
You will find more information on career options with WIMEX on the page of each branch.
