Innovative agriculture means to us, using technological progress in order to work more effectively, thereby taking care of natural resources. This makes our work sustainable and environmentally friendly.
What motivates us and makes us want to improve are the problems that farmers face in their daily work and also our curiosity for how agriculture will work in the future.
In precision agriculture it is necessary to analyze the exact parameters of agricultural areas before and during use. The type of soil, its supply of minerals, the weather, the climate and the crop-growth all have to be monitored. With the collected information the choice of soil tillage and the use of fertilizers can be decided site-specifically which makes it precise and helps to reduce it to a minimum. The adjustments that can be made according to such parameters, for example the proximity of the plants, helps use fertilizers more efficiently, which conserves resources and lowers the cost.
For example with the use of drones we break new ground. Those drones are equipped with sensors that analyze e. g. plant density, water supply and nitrogen concentration.
